The 6th National Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) Conference will be held concurrently with the Inaugural World Children of Parents with a Mental Illness (COPMI) Conference in October 2009. I am delighted to extend this invitation to you to attend either or both of these events in Adelaide, South Australia.

Registration now open - register online or download the brochure (730kb PDF)

Hosted by the Australian Infant Child Adolescent and Family Mental Health Association (AICAFMHA), this will be a major occasion on the Australian mental health calendar, with the conference theme, "Together" encouraging us all to look at the ways in which we work with and support children and families where mental health is an issue.

The Conferences will be held from 26-28 October, 2009 at the Hilton Adelaide, South Australia.

These joint events constitute a unique opportunity for professionals and consumers from the many fields associated with mental health to share ideas, develop networks and participate in knowledge enhancement. Delegates can choose to attend either or both events, and/or participate in the additional workshops on offer.

AICAFMHA is enthusiastic about developing strong and inclusive scientific programs for both the COPMI and CAMH components. Representation from youth, consumers and carers will be a feature on both programs. In addition, a number of prominent Australian speakers have been secured and presentations by international keynote speakers confirmed.

Further information about both events is available from the SAPMEA website (sapmea.asn.au/aicafmha), where you can also register to receive information as it becomes available.

I look forward to welcoming you to Adelaide in October!

Philip Robinson, PSM
Events Convenor
Chair, AICAFMHA Board of Directors
