Program Description

Clinical position with a brief to provide services to children whose parents/siblings have a mental illness. This includes family service planning, psychoeducation about parental mental illness, support groups, promotion of positive parenting skills in parents, staff consultation and education about the needs of children of the mentally ill.

Evaluation

Ongoing. It is hoped that clients being serviced by Mental Health Services that have children will have had some access, whether direct or by case worker consultation, to the worker in this position.
