Program Description Joe's Diary is a new guide from SANE Australia written especially for young people.

Researched and written in consultation with a team of young people, parents and mental health workers, it tells the story in a year in the life of Joe and his mother whohas schizophrenia, and how they both learn to cope with the effects of her illness.

Aimed at the 10-14 year old age group, it deals with the issues of concern to any young person who has a relative or friend with a long-term mental illness.

Evaluation Information Distribution of Guide and feedback from readers.
Evidence Raft of published (mainly Children of Parents with Mental Illness ed Vicki Cowling) and original research through focus groups, small-scale surveys and discussions with workers in the field.
