| Program Description |
The role of the Statewide Committee is to
ensure that the statewide, systematic initiatives detailed in the Pathways
to Resilience: Children of Parents with a Mental Illness Project Report are
translated into practical and achievable templates and strategies for
implementation. Representatives have been invited from a range of government
and non-government agencies. The objectives of the Committee are to:
1. Develop an interagency pathway for COPMI that extends across agencies
and age groups from the antenatal period. 2. Develop and obtain
agreement for interagency protocols for working with COPMI. 3. Improve
data management systems at a statewide level so that COPMI can be
identified and tracked across all age and specific population groups.
4. Devise a workforce development strategy for professionals involved with
COPMI including:
A generic training template and broad training strategy.
Dissemination of Best Practice for working with COPMI.
Assisting and facilitating integrated service delivery for COPMI.
5. Investigate and recommend research and evaluation priorities and
strategies including:
Identifying current research, practice and service design across government
and non-government agencies.
Evaluation of programmes that support COPMI.
Collection of prevalence and longitudinal data. |
