Baby Care Plan

The 'Baby Care Plan - Parent's Wishes' tool has been developed to assist parents to plan for the care of their baby should they be temporarily unable to provide that care due to illness and/or hospitalisation.
Whilst it is not a legally binding document, it has been perceived by parents and service providers who've reviewed it to be a useful tool.

The form is based upon the children's plan concept initially developed by COMIC ( http://www.howstat.com/comic/).

Resource List

The June 2004 version of the Resource List is now online with the latest in local and international resources listed for the COPMI area.
You are invited to check the list to see if the materials or tools you use in your work in this area are included.
Please advise as soon as possible of any errors, omissions or updates.

An objective of Phase 1 of the National COPMI Initiative was to improve the availability of appropriate resource materials (in line with the good practice principles and guidelines) to children of parents with a mental illness and their families, and to people working with them. This can only be achieved if we are aware of what resources currently exist that are seen to be useful.

Please send details to Elizabeth Fudge, COPMI Project Manager.
