COPMI Project Update - 3/8/2004

Journal Article

Three members of the COPMI Reference Group and I have recently had an article published in 'Australasian Psychiatry' relating to the COPMI project. We were also able to arrange for information about the project resource materials (and stickers advertising the COPMI website) to be included with the mail-out to Australian postcodes of that journal and with the June 2004 edition of the International Journal of Mental Health Nursing.
Fudge, E., Falkov,A., Kowalenko, N. and Robinson, R. et al. (2004). "Parenting is a mental health issue." Australasian Psychiatry 12(2): 166-171.

Keep helping us to share ideas about 'COPMI-related' resources that are available

Another resource that's been brought to our attention is "The Wise Mouse". It's a book written for 5 to 11 year-olds that aims to help them understand what is happening to a family member who may be experiencing a mental illness. The booklet is available from Young Minds in the UK (http://www.youngminds.org.uk/ ).

We aim to display copies of some of the resources that we are aware of (such as this one) at the AICAFMHA-TheMHS conference on the Gold Coast in September - just another reason to join us there if you haven't already booked for this event!
