COPMI Project Update - 12/07/2002

Resource List - Thanks

Many thanks to those of you who checked the Resource List provided on this site after my plea for assistance in the last Update. You will note that a few more resources have been added to the list since then. Please check the list to see if the materials or tools you use in your work in this area are included and advise me as soon as possible of any errors or omissions.

I am also still keen to learn about any resource development 'in progress' relating to COPMI issues and what new tool/resource you believe should be considered by the National COPMI project as a development area.

Literature Review - Call for articles and reports

As part of the development of the discussion document regarding Principles and Guidelines, I am currently compiling a Literature Review in the area of Children of Parents With A Parent With A Mental Illness. I am eager to ensure that the vast majority of Australian and New Zealand literature in this field is included. However, with the cost of seeking inter-library loans rising all the time, I'd be pleased to receive copies of any articles or reports you may be able to send me. Check the current Bibliography first to see if I already have it or have it on order. All other articles and reports will be gratefully received!
Stop Press: I have just received some articles from the Qld. Centre for Schizophrenia research - thankyou.

Sydney Consultations

Phil Robinson and I will be presenting at the TheMHS conference in Sydney on Wednesday, August 21st and hope to hold a consultation session later that afternoon on the COPMI Principles and Guidelines Discussion Document . For those of you attending the Conference on that day, please come and introduce yourselves to us and "Have your say" about the principles and guidelines.

We also aim to hold a consultation session outside of the conference on the Tuesday afternoon of August 20th for those in the Sydney area who will not be attending the TheMHS conference. If you will be in Sydney that afternoon, please keep this date free. We'll give you more details as soon as they are confirmed.
