COPMI Project Update - 26/09/2003

Presentations

Tomorrow I will be presenting a paper at the Australian Guidance and Counselling Association Conference in Sydney. Whilst there, I also hope to gain feedback from some participants about the content of the trial website page for school support personnel to add to the feedback we've already received from people in the Education sector about the site.

Phil Robinson (Chair of the COPMI Reference Group) is currently in Malaysia where he will be discussing the work of AICAFMHA (amongst other things) and Vicki Cowling (a COPMI Reference Group members) has been invited to share information about the COPMI project in Greece during a planned visit there later in the year.

Mental Health Week

Mental health week has also provided an opportunity for the COPMI project to present talks and/or displays with our project partner COMIC (Children of Mentally Ill Consumers) in a range of locations in South Australia. We send our best wishes to all those seizing the opportunity that mental health week provides to promote improved support and care for children and other family members/carers where a parent is affected by mental ill health.
