COPMI Project Update - 27/03/2003

COPMI Project Consumer/Carer Update - 27/03/2003

Time has been flying by so quickly and the COPMI Project Team (especially Elizabeth) have been working very hard coordinating the Perinatal Pamphlet, Family Pamphlet, Messages for children and young people. It is difficult to explain how much work goes into drafting, getting feedback, re-writing, getting approval, receiving more feedback, re-writing and taking many viewpoints on board. I (Paola) have found this whole experience quite amazing. It is remarkable to watch and learn (and also express my point of view). In between all of the above there have been presentations, meetings and more meetings, not taking into consideration all of the emailing that goes on. We are now in the process of preparing for piloting and I am sure that many of you have offered your services/groups for this and we thank you.

It is exciting times, and we at COMIC are pleased with the progress. Time lines are important and we respect that everyone is very busy but we also feel that as times are changing it is also very important to participate. To everyone who is involved we at COMIC say a very big Thank You as this is very important to us. We are looking forward to the final drafts of the booklets, post-cards, posters, websites, guidelines and responses to the pilots. We are looking forward to the outcomes. We are always so encouraged at how many people are participating from various streams and walks of life - we believe that the COPMI project will make an impact.
