COPMI Project Update - 05/06/2002
National Consultation GroupA copy of the matrix of organizations that have been invited to nominate a member to join the COPMI National Consultation Group to date is now online. Also listed are Professional Advisors who have been invited to join the group. Further suggestions of groups or individuals who could be invited to participate were given to me by COPMI Reference Group Members at our meeting yesterday and I have been in contact with a few other organizations who are currently determining how best to include their stake-holder group, so the list will continue to grow. If you believe a key stakeholder group has been overlooked, please contact me, preferably with contact details for the
group/individual. Brisbane Visit - presentation, consultation, evaluation!Next week, Phil Robinson, Paola Mason and I will be presenting a paper about the national COPMI initiative at the International Conference on Child and Adolescent Mental Health in Brisbane. If you are attending the conference please come and introduce yourself to one or all of us. Sue Garvin (Company Secretary of AICAFMHA) and I aim to be at the AICAFMHA table/display during the lunch break on the Wednesday and Friday and at the afternoon tea break on the Thursday, but you may find us there at other times as well. Paola and I are also utilizing the opportunity of being in Brisbane to consult with local professionals, carers and consumers about the principles and guidelines document and about resource development options. Many thanks to Michelle Hegarty for helping to organize a gathering to facilitate this on Tuesday 11th June from 2.15pm onwards. If you'd like to attend, please contact Michelle on (07) 3835 1434. The session will be held at CYMHS at Spring Hill and will be followed by afternoon tea. Our Brisbane visit also gives us the opportunity to meet again with Prof. Graham Martin from the University of Queensland who is providing evaluation support to the project. A part-time Research Assistant position will soon be advertised, based at the University of Queensland, to assist Graham to evaluate aspects of the program. For further information regarding this position, please contact Graham on (07) 33655098. Elizabeth Fudge
