The Children of Parents with a Mental Illness
National Initiative now has a Project Manager. Elizabeth Fudge has been appointed to the
position and started on 6th March 2002. Elizabeth can be
emailed at fudgee@wch.sa.gov.au . Updates about
the project will be posted on the website and notified through News In Brief so
encourage interested colleagues, consumers, carers or young people to subscribe.
The Australian Institute of
Socio-Analysis' Annual Group Relations Conference will be held in Lorne in Victoria in
April 22-27, 2002.
It is a fully experiential or working conference in the Tavistock and LeicesterUniversity
tradition. Made up of small groups, large groups and various inter-group events, it
provides a powerful learning experience that takes place through the study of the
here-and-now dynamics within the various groups and the conference institution as a whole.

The Bereaved
Through Suicide Support Group Inc established in Adelaide
have seen a need to establish a separate group for youth - aged between 15-25 who have
been bereaved through traumatic circumstances. ie: suicide, homicide, accidental or sudden
death. The group meets on the first Wednesday of the month at the Women's and Children's
Hospital, and even though there is a great need for this they are having difficulty in
getting sufficient numbers on a regular basis to make the interaction beneficial for those
present. If you know of young people who may benefit from a group such as this, please
contact Jan Dodds, email: jdodds@adelaide.on.net
, Ph:83562843 mobile: 0403026651.
