The latest COPMI National initiative project update is now online at the COPMI Project website. Click here to view. The update includes information about consultations happening in Sydney (August) and Adelaide (September), young people in Melbourne, updated resource listings, and a link to a pilot project report (Parent Assist) running in South Australia.

The C.O.M.I.C developed "Supporting Our Family Kit" has been launched and is now available to download from the COMIC ( http://www.angelfire.com/home/comic) or AICAFMHA websites.

What’s On?

Eating Disorders Association of South Australia (Inc) advises of an Eating Disorder Therapeutic Conference to be held in September. Marilyn Lawrence is a feminist practitioner who is coming out to Australia for this conference. View PDF of notice or contact mail@abnasa.asn.au.

It is now possible to register online for the Auseinet Forum - "Putting It All Together: A National Forum on Promotion, Prevention and Early Intervention for Mental Health" to be held from 15 - 17 September in Adelaide. Go to: http://www.auseinet.com/forum/ .

The 7th National Rural Health Conference is to be held at the Grand Chancellor in Hobart Tasmania from 1 - 4 March 2003. Registration for the Conference will be available in September 2002. Kate Strohm, who manages the Sibling Project at the Women's and Children's Hospital, http://www.wch.sa.gov.au has just launched her book Siblings: Brothers and Sisters of Children with Special Needs. Besides giving siblings a voice, Kate also provides strategies that siblings themselves, parents and practitioners can use to support brothers and sisters of children with special needs. It can be ordered through Wakefield Press at sales@wakefieldpress.com.au or it will be available in bookstores from early August.
