AICAFMHA is proactive in encouraging national networking and discussion on mental health issues affecting infants, children, adolescents and their families and/or carers.
AICAFMHA email lists are moderated, and governed by a set of rules and a privacy policy.

For news and information, AICAFMHA has established:
- AICAFMHA News list - subscribers receive a fortnightly e-letter which contains information about the association and its activities, broader mental health news, notification of events and details about new resources of interest
The following email lists have been established to facilitate networking and discussion.
- AICAFMHA Discussion list - for discussion of a broad range of issues relating to the mental health of young Australians
- COPMI Discussion List - for discussion of the issues relating to managing the needs of families where a parent has a mental illness
- AICAFMHA Youth Participation List is designed to promote discussion in respect to the development of a Youth Participation Strategy for Australian Government funded mental health projects
