to make funding decisions for youth focussed initiatives in their state or territory.
Youth Grant Making is a key component of The Foundation's Youth Participation Strategy,
which seeks to create positive opportunities for young people to participate pro-actively
in their community. The initiative is based on international best practice models but is
new for the Australian community. Young people aged 16-23 are invited to apply for a 2
year position as a grant-maker on a committee based in their individual state or
territory.
